Video Conferences

Sure, I love me some video chats. It really is surperior to just voice, or written chat’s, but it tends to be a bit complicated to set up. Person to person, I like Skype, but I have not been able to use Skype for more than two persons. And, not everyone has Skype installed. I’ve tested mebeam.com today, with four users, and found it to work quite well. It is really easy to get going, and the setup is a breeze. It just works. Will have to try it a bit more, but for this short test I found it to work surprisingly well. Oh, and it is free! Hard to beat that.

Oh, one tip though: Do use an original name (Perhaps a really original and random one such as AKLSJd887#, even). The old conversations are saved, so if you are using a generic name, the time-line will contain your (and others) old conversations. This is very convenient, but EXTREMELY unsafe if you want privacy. Do remember this. It IS convenient, how ever :)
