A Lesson On Backups…
In the International Herald Tribue we can read about a real worst case scenario when it comes to poor backup routines. It ended up just costing $220,700, which is pretty much a bargain.
I can just imagine the horror the poor technician must have felt…
The lesson? Just because you have backups (which most people don’t) doesn’t mean that they will work. If the backups haven’t been tested, they don’t really count as backups. Yes, this is a basic concept, but I’m willing to bet it still applies to most of you…
